About Me
I was born and reared in Ballymote where I ran my butchering and current Auctioneering business. I am married to Anne and have six children.
I was elected to Sligo County Council in 1991 for the Ballymote L.E.A and at each subsequent election. I was elected to Seanad Éireann on the Agricultural Panel where I served for five years. In 2007 I was elected to represent the people of Sligo and North Leitrim in Dáil Eireann.
I've served seven years on the Fianna Fáil Ard Comhairle as well as being director of elections for Matt Brennan.
